The Wythe County Water and Wastewater Department is now accepting employment for Construction Inspectors. The positions will be Temporary Full-Time positions with benefits. The projects will range in time for approximately six to twelve months.
Experience with water and wastewater utility line construction preferred but not required. Inspectors must be familiar with reading construction plans and specifications. Inspectors must be able to communicate clearly to all stakeholders involved on the project.
Inspectors will be responsible for observing daily activities on construction projects, ensuring all work done complies with the Engineer’s plans and specifications. Inspectors will also be required to create daily reports and submit to the project manager.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with water/wastewater construction (Preferred), relevant utility construction, roadway construction or civil site project construction.
- Must be experienced with reading construction plans and specifications
- Must be experienced with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Be at job site eight hours per day dependent on construction schedules.
- Valid Drivers license.
