Absentee voting begins April 23, 2021.
Deadline to register to vote, or update existing registration, is Monday, May 17, 2021.
Deadline to request a ballot be mailed to you is Friday, May 28, 2021 at 5:00 pm.
Deadline to vote early in person is Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 4:30 pm.
In addition to our regular office hours, the Registrar's office will be open the following Saturdays for absentee voting in person:
- May 29, 2021, 8:30am - 4:30pm
- June 5, 2021, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Freedom can best be maintained and nurtured through the democratic process.
The success of the democratic process requires fair and open elections which accurately reflect the intent of the electorate. Therefore the Voter Registrar serves as the Gatekeeper of Democracy.

The mission of the General Registrar's Office is to provide opportunities, in an equitable and courteous manner, for all qualified citizens of Wythe County to register to vote; to promote the integrity of the electoral process by maintaining accurate and current voter registration records used in elections; to coordinate elections so that they are conducted in a manner that secures the qualified citizen's right to vote and insures that the results accurately reflect the voters' will; and, to be an information resource for citizens regarding voter registration, elections, and elected officials.
