The County Administrator is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to administer all programs and to ensure that County government operates efficiently and effectively.

Duties of the County Administrator

  • Implements the policies adopted by the Board of Supervisors
  • Employs, supervises and provides direction, leadership and supervision to all county department heads
  • Serves as an advisor to the Board of Supervisors and keeps them informed of financial matters and conditions of the County
  • Recommends an annual county operating and capital improvement budget to the Board
  • Serves as a link between the Board of Supervisors and the public and other boards and commissions
