A proposed public hearing is to give the citizens served by the Wythe County public water system an opportunity to comment on the proposed rate change. In accordance with the Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2119, and subsequent revisions, the Wythe County Board of Supervisors proposes to change the rates charged for water services on January 1, 2020, as follows:
Current Residential Rates Proposed Residential Rates
$ 18.90 (0-1000 gallons) $ 20.79 (0-1000 gallons)
$ 9.45 (per 1000 gallons after) $ 10.40 (per 1000 gallons after)
Current Commercial Rates Proposed Commercial Rates
$ 18.90 (0-1000 gallons) $ 20.79 (0-1000 gallons)
$ 9.45 (per 1000 gallons after) $ 10.40 (per 1000 gallons after)
The public hearing will be conducted on December 10, 2019, beginning at or about 7:05 p.m. and may be continued if necessary. The public hearing will be held in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia.
