Wythe County, Virginia, is seeking sealed bids for the supply of all materials and the labor to install a 4-yard trash compactor box at the Rural Retreat, VA trash collection and recycling center, located at 330 Gienow Rd, Rural Retreat, VA 24368. Bids should be labeled “Compactor Bid” and addressed to the attention of Martha Collins, 340 South 6th St, Wytheville, VA 24382. Bids should be received no later than 2 p.m. on January 25th, 2019.
The following minimum specifications should be adhered to:
- Compactor box size should be 4 yard, and green in color
- Electrical breaker, conduit, and wiring for the motor not to exceed 50’
- Motor size to be 208/230-volt 3PH 20HP
- Phase converter
- Reservoir Tank size of at least 70 gallons
- Maximum Force rating of 77,000 Lbs.
- Min 2 horizontal ram supports
- Heavy Duty capacity ratchet binder/hooks
- UL listed electrical components
- Keyed lock on/Off switch to ensure that only authorized personnel can us the compactor.
- A quantity of (2) 40 yard octagon receiver boxes, green in color
Concrete pad will be supplied by owner.
