To develop a Wythe County Tourism Strategic Plan based on funding available from transient lodging tax collections. This document will provide a detailed plan of measurable objectives, strategies and actions for each tourism initiative.

To identify and report to the Board of Supervisors on current and emerging tourism issues facing Wythe County.

To provide an active link between Wythe County Board of Supervisors and the tourism industry.

To promote the Board of Supervisor’s tourism efforts and initiatives.

Wythe County Board of Supervisors shall appoint members of the WCTAC. The Committee shall consist of one member from each supervisor district who represents the tourism industry, insuring adequate geographic and industry representation. Term of appointment shall be one year and members may serve successive terms.

The Board of Supervisors shall appoint the County Administrator and one Board member to serve on the Committee. The Committee shall also include the County Administrator.

The Director of Parks, Recreation & Tourism shall be an ex officio member of the WCTAC.
