The way local governments communicate with residents is changing throughout the world. To meet the electronic communication needs of Wythe County residents, the Board of Supervisors is requesting email addresses to be added to a distribution list to help residents receive updates and information quickly.

The compiling of the list began through requests received on the county’s Facebook account, www.facebook.com/wythecounty, for information via email. In an effort to reach all residents who are interested, Wythe County is sending an invitation to be added to the list.

The list recipients will receive information including summaries of bimonthly board meetings. In addition, individuals on this list will receive a planned e-newsletter, information about county activities and events, and public notices and announcements.
