The Youth Football League Super Bowl XVI on Oct. 29, 2011, at Fort Chiswell High School, will be the final match up of the season for junior varsity and varsity teams. With the playoffs concluding last weekend, teams are preparing for their last chance to show what they are made of.

The playoffs showed some clear front runners in JV and varsity; however, Scott Vaught, Wythe County Parks and Recreation Assistant Recreation Specialist, said it’s still anyone’s game. “If its anything like the regular season and playoffs, the atmosphere and team pride will be at a all time high,” said Vaught.

Results of the JV playoffs came up with the Wytheville Packers winning over the Wytheville Hokies at 33-0 and the Sheffey Wildcats coming out ahead of the Wytheville Steelers at 14-8. The JV Super Bowl of Wytheville Packers versus Sheffey Wildcats is set to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Varsity play offs came up with Wytheville Bulldogs winning over Sheffy Wildcats with 22-8 and Jackson Eagles taking a victory from Rural Retreat Indians Orange at 12-8. The Bulldogs and Eagles’ match up is set to start at 2 p.m.

Super Bowl games will be broadcast on WYVE 1280am on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.
