Wythe County, Virginia, is seeking proposals for Architectural/Engineer Services for the preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for the Austinville (Virginia) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and collection system. The Austinville WWTP is a 50,000 GPD capacity facility consisting of an Imhoff tank, trickling filter, final clarifier, disinfection, and sludge handling (drying beds). The contributory collection system consists of: a pump station with approximately 400 feet of force main; 7,000 feet of 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch gravity pipe; 24 manholes; and approximately 75 service connections. 

The PER will consist of two parts: one for plant system upgrades and repairs; and one for collection system upgrades and repairs (including an inflow and infiltration analysis).

• Treatment plant upgrades and repairs. Options and tiered maintenance and repair projects.

• Collection system repairs. Options for line and manhole repairs. Also, analysis and option for service collection lateral repairs.

• Cost estimates.

Interested offerors are requested to provide five copies of qualifications and references on Standard Form (SF) 330.

Proposals will be received at the office of Stephen D. Bear, Wythe County Administrator, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 until 5:00 P.M. local prevailing time on August 31, 2018.

Wythe County encourages the participation of MBE/WBE type firms.

Wythe County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals.
