Will the shelter spay or neuter my adopted pet?
The shelter does not have a veterinarian on staff, but we do have contact numbers for the local vets.

I am having problems with a stray dog or an owners dog, what do I do?
Contact our office (276) 228-6003 and leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Is there a leash law in the county?
There is not a leash law in the county but there is a running at large ordinance (click here to view)

Does the shelter take in cats or pick them up?
NO, we do not take in cats at the shelter, nor do we pick them up.

I am having problems with wildlife, can you help me?
We do assist game and inland fisheries with wildlife calls if they are not available.

When can I come by and look at dogs at the shelter?
Contact our office (276) 228-6003 and leave a message, we will contact you as soon as possible, our hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; Monday through Saturday 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Visitation during other times can be made by appointment. How much is a Dog License?
