Planning Commission

The purpose of the Commission shall be to encourage the improvement of public health, safety convenience and welfare of the citizens of Wythe County and to plan for the future development of the county to the end that adequate highways, utilities, health, educational and recreational facilities be developed; that the needs of agriculture, industry and business be recognized in future growth; that residential areas be provided with healthy surroundings for family life; and that the growth of Wythe County be consonant with efficient and economical use of public funds.
